## Frequently asked questions

### What do we do in Lovable, and what do you build?

Lovable is where your team prompts and explores. You shape how the product looks and feels there. We build the real product behind it — the data, the logic, the security and the tests — then launch it and keep it running for your customers.

### Do we have to work in two places?

No. Your team stays in Lovable. You prompt, redesign and change your mind as often as you like. When a version is right, it is submitted to us and we make it real in production.

### Is any of this autonomous?

No. Real engineers do the work. We use AI to move faster, but every change is reviewed, tested and deployed by people who take responsibility for what reaches your users.

### What are your skills and guardrails?

Lovable already knows how to build with a wide range of technologies. Our skills give it the context, constraints and instructions it needs to make the right technical decisions for your product — so the output matches production standards from the start.

### How do changes travel from Lovable to production?

Your version synchronizes through our connectors, waits in a prepared queue, is engineered into the real product by our team, passes AI and human testing, ships to production, and then the live result synchronizes back to Lovable so your next idea starts from what is actually live.

### How do we submit work, and who do we talk to?

You submit a version from Lovable whenever it is ready. Alongside that, you get scheduled status and on-demand meetings, architecture reviews, and chat with your Key Account Manager and Support in your dashboard. Your Key Account Manager is your one point of contact and works with the engineers on your product every day.

### Can you build our product from scratch?

Yes. We are product developers as well as engineers, and we have taken products from a first conversation to a live business. If you do not want to build the first version yourself, we will shape it with you — the product, the experience and the software — and you can see those products on our work page.

### Can we work with you just for product or user experience advice?

Yes. If you already have an idea or a product running, we will look at it with you. We have worked across software for teams, marketplaces, finance, logistics and internal tools, so we can tell you where people get stuck, what to build next and what to leave out — without rebuilding anything.

### Am I buying developer hours?

No. You are subscribing to the continuous evolution of your product. Plans are defined by what we deliver, not by how long it takes us to do it.

### How much does Starter cost?

Starter is $2,999 per month when you pay yearly, $3,999 per month billed quarterly ($11,997 every three months), or $4,999 per month if you pay month to month. The premium software bundle comes with yearly billing only. Growth has custom pricing, so talk to us.

### What is the difference between Starter and Growth?

Starter suits a growing product with up to 25,000 users: reserved engineering capacity, up to two business days to action, two deployments per week and business-hours support, with 24/7 emergency calls up to 5 a month. Growth is for high-volume products above 25,000 users: dedicated capacity, instant time to action, continuous deployment and 24/7 support.

### What does unlimited changes really mean?

There is no per-change fee and no ticket quota. We work through your queue continuously at the capacity your plan reserves, prioritizing with you rather than counting requests.

### What software comes with a plan?

Yearly plans include premium software subscriptions worth $33,154 at list price, on top of the engineering work; quarterly and monthly plans do not. With Starter at $2,999 per month paid yearly, that leaves an effective first-year cost of $2,834 — about $236 per month — for the engineering work. Availability varies because these are third-party offers.

### Can I change plans later?

Yes. Plans move up or down as your product and user base change. Talk to us and we will move you at the next billing cycle.

### Are Lovable and infrastructure costs included?

Your Lovable workspace is covered by the plan. Third-party infrastructure you own — hosting, databases, external APIs — is billed to you directly at cost, and we set it up and operate it for you.

### What does time to action mean?

How quickly one of our engineers starts on a change you submit. It is not a guarantee that the entire change is finished within that period.

### What counts as a medium or large change?

A medium change modifies an existing area, such as an existing user flow or a significant component. A large change is a new feature or a complex UX flow built from scratch. Both are included in every plan.

### How do you test what ships?

Every change goes through regression testing, visual regression testing, code review and security checks before it reaches production. AI runs the breadth; our engineers own the judgment calls.

### What happens if something breaks in production?

We monitor the live application and respond to incidents. Starter includes five emergency call-outs a month; Growth includes unlimited emergency support with 24/7 coverage.

### How do you handle security and compliance?

Security checks run on every change, access is scoped and reviewed, and production credentials stay with us rather than in the prototyping workspace. We work with your compliance requirements as part of the architecture review.

### Who owns the code and the product?

You do. The real product, its code, its data and its infrastructure belong to you. We build and operate it on your behalf.

### What happens if we stop the subscription?

You keep everything. We hand over the repositories, infrastructure and documentation, and we support the transition so your product keeps running without us.

### Can we bring an existing product to you?

Yes. We start with an architecture review of what exists, build around it, and connect your team's Lovable workspace so the loop works the same way.

### How do we get started?

Talk to us. We look at your product, agree the plan that matches your stage, and set up your workspace so your first prompt can reach real customers.
