What is the real product?
You keep prompting. The real product is the version people actually use.
In short
The real product is the live version of the app you design in Lovable: the software your customers actually use. You keep prompting and changing your mind in Lovable; when a version is right you send it to Plutonapps, and our engineers build, test, release and support it in the real product, which then syncs back to Lovable.
Also called: Product Twin
Why not just ship what Lovable produces?
Because the thing that makes prototyping fast, changing anything at any moment, is the opposite of what a live system needs. Keeping the two apart lets both be true: you keep your freedom in Lovable, and your customers get stability, security and a product that is tested before every release.
How does a Lovable version become the real product?
- You prompt, explore and redesign in Lovable.
- You send a version you are happy with.
- Our engineers build it into the real product, and it passes AI and human testing: regression, visual regression, code review and security checks.
- It ships to production, then syncs back to Lovable.
The real product is what a Plutonapps plan pays for. Starter costs $2,999 a month paid annually, $3,999 a month billed quarterly, or $4,999 month to month; Growth is custom.
Why was the real product once called a Product Twin?
We used to call this the Product Twin. It is not a digital twin in the manufacturing sense, a virtual model of a physical product. Here it is the other way round: the Lovable project is where you design, and the real product is the running software, kept in step with it.
Common questions
Do I work in two places?
No. You work in Lovable. We take care of production. You keep prompting and redesigning there; when a version is right you send it to us, and once it ships to production it syncs back to Lovable.
Who owns the real product?
You do: the code, the data and the infrastructure. If you stop, you keep everything. Our engineers build, test, release and support it, while the product itself, the software your customers use, stays yours.
